A reflection on "Going, Going, Gone"

This article is about helium found in the US and how it is rare, yet the second most common element in the universe, after hydrogen. This element is rare on planet Earth, but a lot of it had been found in the Sun, as well as in other solar system’s gas giant planets. The reason why there isn't a big supply of helium on our planet is because a long time ago, when we still enough of it, it got boiled off by the sunlight eons. We need this element for firstly; safe testing of liquid-fueled rockets and launching them, secondly; to be able to easily manufactore semiconductors and optical fibers, and without it, the MRI machines cannot function which would be a big step back in medicine. Lastly, the reason why we need a large supply of helium is crucial as a working fluid or a fuel in future nuclear reactors. To prevent the supply of helium run out that soon, we need to use it in more effeciantely and invest in it recycling technologies.
